Music Notes

Musical worship is an integral part of our services at Ridgecrest. It is through congregational worship that we express our thankfulness and love to our Savior for His sacrifice and forgiveness for our sins. Colossians 3:16 tells us to: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”  We are instructed in Psalms 95:2  to… come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.”

Our music services use a variety of musical styles. Whether it is a contemporary song, hymn, or gospel song, all are used to bring musical praise.

If you sing or play an instrument you are invited to join one of our musical groups.

Worship Choir provides special music and serves to lead our Sunday, 10:30 a.m. Morning Worship Services. They also present Christmas and Easter Musicals. Rehearsal time is from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each Wednesday night.

Worship Band provides instrumental accompaniment for both our Morning and Evening Worship Services. Rehearsal times are 8:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Sundays.

Kids’ Choir is for elementary age children and meets on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. Kids Choir periodically presents special music and seasonal musicals during our regular worship services.

Celebrate is a choir for grades 7-12 and Hand Bell Choir is an instrumental group for youth and adults. These two groups are not currently meeting. A date and time for the restart of these two groups will be announced later.
